(All Cartridge Boxes come complete with tins.)
All the boxes I make are copied from original examples, and are totally hand sewn. I am happy to offer a wide variety of boxes to you. Unlike my competitors, I can offer you the correct finial for your box (Brass round or button type finial, Lead round or acorn finial, Iron round, Wood, or CS 3 piece “egg” shaped finial.). All my finishes are correct. I can offer you Iron dyed, Oil Dyed, Russet, Black or White Enameled (hand mixed by myself). All boxes come with tins.
PRE WAR MILITIA
MCB1 Pre War Enameled Cart Box, Various Styles (1840-1900) - Starting at $160.00
These boxes come in a fairly wide variety. Differing in size from a full 40 round box to a small 20 round box, I can make these according to the original appropriate for your impression.

USCB1 US Pattern 1839 .69 Round Ball Cartridge Box (1840-58) - $175.00
This is the box issued and used in the Mexican War as well as the early portion of the Civil War. It saw service with both the US and CS armies in the war. Box is made according to the original copied. *Comes complete with tins.*

USCB2 US Pattern of 1857 .69 Round Ball Cartridge Box (1858-65) - $175.00 Due to the changes in the US Army’s need for a box to be carried on the waist belt, the Pattern of 1857 was developed. It is essentially the same as the pattern of 1839, except with belt loops now added to it. Completely hand sewn. *Comes complete with tins.* |
USCB3 US Pattern of 1857 .69 Elongated Ball Cartridge Box. (1858-65) - 175.00
This box is the same as the above, but was developed for the .69 Rifled Musket’s Large Minie Ball. Completely Hand Sewn. *Comes complete with tins.*

USCB3 US Pattern of 1857 .58 Cartridge Box. (1858-65) - $175.00 When the US Army adopted the M1855 Rifle-Musket, there was a need for a new cartridge box to accommodate its .58 ammunition. This box is the one that set the pattern for the other boxes used during the war. Completely hand sewn. *Comes complete with tins.* |

USCB4 US Pattern of 1861 .58 Cartridge Box. (1861-72) - $175.00 An updated version of the p1857 box, the Pattern of 1861 saw the addition of copper rivets to the belt loops to better reinforce the ends. Hand sewn & riveted as per the originals in our collection. *Comes complete with tins.* |
USCB5 US Pattern of 1861 .69 Round Ball Cartridge Box (1861-72) - $175.00
Due to the smoothbore muskets still in use in the US Army, the round ball version of the 1861 box was an updated version of it’s p1857 cousin for the use of the troops still using the old smooth bore “pumpkin slinger”, Box has riveted belt loops and is completely hand sewn. *Comes complete with tins.*

An updated version of its earlier 1857 counterpart, the Elongated Ball box was used heavily during the war. Box has Riveted Belt loops and is completely hand sewn. *Comes complete with tins.*

CSCB1 Columbus Arsenal Painted Cloth Cartridge Box .58 Cal (REAL Painted Cloth Not Latex) (1861-65) - $185.00
A unique box made with the main portions of painted cloth. This box was the answer to the leather shortage experienced in the Army of Tennessee and the Army of Northern Virginia. The firms of N.Crown & Co. and Wm Brands & Co produced it for the Columbus Arsenal. Box is completely hand sewn. *Comes complete with tins.*

CSCB2 Confederate Leather Box (1861-65) - $175.00 These boxes are among the very common of the war. Most were but were made in a consistent manner. I make these for .58 Cal, .69 Round Ball, and for .69 Rifle.
