WHY TRANS-MISSISSIPPI DEPOT COMPANY?

Put my experience to work for you! Below is my resume, listed there are the reasons to choose Trans-Mississippi Depot Company for your Clothing, Accoutrement, and Custom Order wants and needs.

For over 12 years T.M.D.Co. serving the Civil War Community with some of the finest items available today. We strive always to improve our technique and widen our offerings to you the customer.

We have several of our items in Museums as well:

*The Atlanta History Center, Atlanta GA, (Shelterhalfs)
*Port Hudson State Historic Site, Port Hudson LA, (Illustrations)
*Mansfield State Historic Site, Mansfield LA, (Uniforms)
*National Civil War Museum, Waukesha Wisconsin, (Militia Web Belt sets and Militia Accoutrements)

If Museums trust T.M.D.Co, Shouldn’t you with your Authenticity?

Personally, I have over 20 years of experiential expertise in the hobby. I personally work hard at living the life of the period man in the ranks. Learning & utilizing the period camp skills the soldier knew. Whether it is using an axe properly, camp wood craft, cooking , making shelter, getting ready for inspection, or playing a period game.

These skills have been gleaned from the period writings of the soldiers and from the books some of them wrote. I have a firm belief that one should not only read about what the soldier did, but put the research into practice to become adept at it. To be able to “be the soldier or period person” only then does one understand the tools and items they used.

This philosophy has served me well in making the items I have offered over the span of 12+ years of being in business. I strive to learn each day how to improve my skill and make the best product & as accurately to the originals as possible so that you the customer have the very best in authenticity.

I hope after reading my resume that you will consider Trans-Mississippi Depot for your Authenticity needs. Whether you are a Re-enactor, Living Historian, Museum Curator or Private Collector. I ensure that these items are correct down to the twist of the thread.

All the best,
Don Smith, Artisan & President
Trans-Mississippi Depot Company
